First established in 1999 at Para Vista, Ned Kelly's Retreat Restaurant is Australia's only restaurant based on the legendary outlaw. It took Peter Jug and Kerry Oehme only a few years to establish themselves and develop a concept that would prove to be highly successful in reflecting the Aussie culture with a menu and setting ideally suited to tourists and locals alike.

In order to capture more of the tourist market, a move closer to the city was essential, and in early 2005 Ned Kelly's Retreat North Adelaide was opened, and has already proven to be well received, having reached the finalist stage of the Restaurant and Catering Awards in 2005 and 2006, and the South Australian Tourism Awards 2006.

Working with our local council, tour operators, agencies and suppliers and with input from our staff, Peter and Kerry have created a successful tourist restaurant with a focus on protection and conservation of the environment, an important drawcard for Tourism within Australia.
